FLAD1 (Flavin adenine dinucleotide synthetase 1) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FLAD1 gene. The gene encodes an enzyme that catalyzes the adenosine acidification of Flavin mononucleotide (FMN) to form Flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) coenzyme. Diseases associated with FLAD1 include lipid storage myopathy caused by Flavin adenine dinucleotide synthetase deficiency and multiple acyl-Coa dehydrogenase deficiency.
