GDNF (Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) is a small protein that can effectively promote the survival of many kinds of neurons. The most prominent feature of GDNF is its ability to support dopaminergic and motor neuron survival. The widespread distribution of GDNF and its receptors in the central nervous system of rats and humans and their regulation through seizures indicate the role of GDNF in epileptic activity. GDNF is also responsible for identifying spermatogonia as primary spermatocytes, which are received by RET, and divide spermatogonia into two cells by forming a gradient with SCF. As a result, spermatogonia were preserved and spermatids were formed.
