HER3 is the third member of the human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER/EGFR) family. Unlike other family members, its intrinsic kinase activity is extremely low, so it is unique. As a result, HER3 must interact with another receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK), It works only through dimerization with other molecules. Disorders of this pathway are associated with a variety of diseases, including schizophrenia, heart failure, atherosclerosis, and cancer. Specifically, in cancer, HRGS is implicated in dryness, invasion, proliferation, anti-apoptotic, and angiogenesis.
