JAK2 (Janus Kinase2) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase. It is a member of Janus kinase family and participates in signal transduction of class II cytokine receptor family, GM-CSF receptor family, gp130 receptor family and single-strand receptor. JAK2 catalyzes the phosphorylation of autophosphorylation activation loop and dimer receptor of kinase domain induced by ligands, which creates reversible docking sites for Stat proteins and plays an important role in signal transduction pathways such as MAP kinase and PI3K/Akt pathway. JAK2 gene mutation is associated with true polycythemia, primary thrombocythemia, bone marrow fibrosis and other myeloproliferative diseases.
