PRKACA (Protein Kinase CAMP-Activated Catalytic Subunit Alpha) is a serine / threonine protein kinase that can phosphorylate a variety of substrates. PRKACA regulates many cellular processes, including cell growth, cell differentiation, ion channel conduction, gene transcription and synaptic release of neurotransmitters.
